1 Purpose of the Test

This is the DVD Cloner testing report. It aims to analyze DVD Cloner's performance and features to provide the theoretic basis for the compare chart. We are trying to figure out the most convenient and reliable DVD copy software for consumers?reference

 

2 Theoretic basis

With the latest DVD copy software, protecting your movie investment is faster and easier then ever-making it possible for even the most inexperienced computer users to back up their DVD collection successfully. And, of course, making backup copies allows you to continue to use and enjoy your DVD copies, while your originals stay safe and unblemished.

DVD copy software should be a breeze to use and install, regardless of a person's computer experience, and should come with plenty of easy-to-use features. The software should also create the highest quality copies possible, should copy DVDs without problems and should interact well with other programs.

4 Testing Process

Step 1 : Searching for DVD Copy Software

We collected a large number of DVD copy software through various search engines, such as

 

 

We also search the software through the forum and other ways to find as much as we can.

 

 

Step 2 : Studying

We studied the capabilities and features of DVD Cloner.

• Under the Expert interface, DVD Cloner can intelligently identify the disc type and display relevant copy modes on the interface for you to select.
  
  
  

• DVD Cloner also has the advanced format to meet customers'specific needs. There are various burning formats selectable, including: Movie complete copy, Movie-only copy, Splits D9 to two D5 discs, Movie Complete copy to a D9, Movie Customized copy, Full DVD disc copy and so on.
  
  

Step 3 : Testing

• DVD Cloner also supports audio and subtitle selection.

  

• The disc used in this test was "BAMBI_2", Sony picture. Sony discs have such a special protection method that most DVD copy software cannot support well or their copying time usually lasts too long. However, DVD Cloner identified Sony discs well. In the process, the term such as "Cannot be converted" which usually comes out in other software, did not appear at all. Just one click on "start" and it began to convert.
  
  
  
  

• We used one burner to convert and burn. The converting was done in 32 minutes, after that the driver ejected automatically. Then we inserted a cleared DVD+R and it started to burn. The burning took about 13 minutes, during which process the speed was OK all through. Then we used a DVD player to play the newly burned RW disc. The image quality was as great as the original one.

Step 4 : Analyzing

Step 5 : Conclusion
